KOBE BRYANT "ONLY THE KINGS HAVE RINGS" TEE (RESTOCK)

The Lakers have taken 1-0 lead in the series against Oklahoma City and will now take Game #2 tonight, the homies Garrett and Troy from Sunnymead, California based The Forest Labhave re-released one of the hottest Kobe Bryant tees we have ever had at Tradition. A member of the fabled Los Angeles Lakers #24 has proven time and time again that HE is the man who can get the job done. Sure, he makes what he does on the court look easy but when the basketball stops bouncing there are few who can hold their finger high in the air and declare themselves number one – even if that finger is broken and bandaged! Kobe Bryant rules and reigns over the NBA because “Only Kings Have Rings." This re-stock of the limited edition tee will also be available in black at both Tradition locations. Phone Orders are available (805)497-4717 & (805)643-8805.

LAKERS VISIT THE WHITE HOUSE, MEET OBAMA

The Lakers came in first to a standing ovation in the East Room of the White House today, all of them wearing suits for their visit to meet the president of the United States, most of them looking excited and nervous. Obama congratulated the Lakers for winning the franchise’s 15th NBA championship, a 4-1 NBA Finals victory in June over the Orlando Magic, which was their fourth in the last decade. It was clear that Obama, a basketball fan who plays when he gets the chance, was fully aware of what the Lakers accomplished and who all the players were.

“I still get enormous, enormous pleasure from watching great athletes on the court, and nobody exemplifies excellence in basketball better than the Los Angeles Lakers last year,” Obama said.

Kobe Bryant presented Obama with a Lakers’ jersey No.1, and Derek Fisher gave the president an autographed basketball. It was the second time both Bryant and Fisher had visited the White House after winning an NBA championship. They last came in 2002 after the Lakers won the second of their three consecutive NBA titles.

ARTEST SAYS BLAME WILL BE ON HIM IF LAKERS DON'T REPEAT

Ron Artest in a recent interview has said if his Los Angeles Lakers don't repeat as NBA champions, fans can point their fingers at him. "They should. That's exactly what should happen if we don't repeat," the star forward said during a visit to promote the Lakers' exhibition game against the Denver Nuggets at the San Diego Sports Arena on Oct. 23.

Artest who has professed his newfound affection for Southern California, signed a five year deal worth $33 million as a free agent in July. "They won last year, and I'm the new addition. The fans expect to repeat. Everybody in L.A. expects a second ring. And if we don't then yeah, they should point it right at me, throwing tomatoes and everything."

LAKERS WIN 15TH TITLE

Kobe Bryant has the NBA title he needed most, the one without Shaq. Bryant's seven-year chase of a coveted championship is over. He's got his fourth, and Los Angeles coach Phil Jackson his record 10th, a ring for each finger. One year after failing in the finals, Bryant and the Lakers have redemption, and all the rewards that go with it. They earned their 15th title tonight as Bryant scored 30 points and Pau Gasol added 14 and 15 rebounds in a 99-86 win in Game 5 over the Orlando Magic, who ran out of comebacks.

With Phil Jackson's 10th Championship, he can light his own victory cigar as he passed Red Auerbach for the most championships by a coach in NBA history.
