During a search at the station, officers found marijuana in his pocket. He could face up to 6 months in jail and a $500 fine for the marijuana charge. MAYO LOOKING FOR A NEW REP

According to reports, O.J. Mayo has terminated his relationship with Calvin Andrews and Bill Duffy Associates. Mayo's mother, Alisha Mayo, said in a statement: "As a family, we decided to modify O.J.'s inner circle and allow him to solely focus on improving his game without distraction in a structured, disciplined environment." Mayo will look for a new agent in the wake of an "Outside The Lines" report that Mayo took money from a man who got it from BDA. Alisha Mayo and family attorney Mike Woelfel will address the day-to-day issues in the short term. O.J. Mayo will continue training at Tim Grover's Chicago sports complex and will attend the NBA pre-draft camp in Orlando next weekend. When asked about whom Mayo may select as his agent, Woelfel said, "The family has a variety of options and each of those options will be thoughtfully explored."

4. Seattle Supersonics

"SIR CHARLES" TO STOP GAMBLING, FOR NOW!

Charles Barkley said he will stop gambling tonight on national television, at least for now, less than a week after acknowledging he owed a $400,000 debt to a Las Vegas Strip casino."I like to go into Vegas, it's a fun place, but you know what, I've got to stop gambling. That's the bottom line," Barkley said during TNT's pregame show before Game 7 between San Antonio and New Orleans. "I am not going to gamble anymore. For right now, the next year or two, I'm not going to gamble." The Wynn Las Vegas resort alleged in a civil complaint filed Wednesday in a Nevada state court that Barkley failed to repay four $100,000 casino markers, or loans, received last Oct. 18 and 19. Clark County District Attorney David Roger said prosecutors would file a criminal complaint if Barkley did not pay the debt. "I have no, no money problems whatsoever. Nobody's coming after me for money," he said. "I screwed up and didn't pay them. Could they have handled it differently? Yes. But it was my fault." Barkley has talked openly about his gambling, estimating during a May 2006 interview with ESPN that he'd gambled away about $10 million over the years. He always defended it by saying he had the money to lose, but said Monday it was time for a break. He added he would try to do it on his own without seeking help.

D-WADE BUYS MOM A CHURCH

Before she was known as the mother of the Miami Heat superstar and 2006 NBA Finals MVP Dwayne Wade, Jolinda Wade was known as an inmate, a fugitive, a drug user and drug seller. Her life turned around seven years ago when, after years of urging by her children, she got help and got clean. Along the way, she devoted her life to spreading the word of God, starting her first ministry while doing time in state prison. Now, that ministry has a new home, called the Temple of Praise. Jolinda Wade's very own church. Dwayne bought it, and her children and her congregation gathered to dedicate it Sunday afternoon. Since becoming a Baptist pastor, Jolinda Wade shares the title of pastor with LaDell Jones, whom she befriended when they began minister training together in 2004. Dwayne never turned his back on his mother, not even when she was bouncing between jail and prison and she was at rock bottom. Since joining the NBA and amassing a small fortune, he hasn't been shy about showering his mother in lavish gifts, including a car and a house. Of course, he never planned to give her a church.

STRIFE - CANADIAN TOUR DAY 3

Our last show of the trip was in Toronto. We played a club called the Kathedral on Queen Street.

We had a day off the next day, so we had some time to see what Toronto had to offer. We saw a few shops, and they were all really nice. Ransom, Nomad, Goodfoot, and the new Stussy store are all connected, kind of like a streetwear mini mall. I didn't get a chance to take any photos, but all 4 stores were really nice, and worth checking out.
We also got a chance to check out the CN Tower, which is the largest free standing structure in the world. It is also considered one of the modern 7 wonders of the world.

Once you take the long elevator ride to the top, there is a section of the observation deck that has a glass floor! It may not sound scary to you, but when the only thing separating you and the ground at 1,122 feet up is 3 inches of glass you can't help but be a little afraid! This pic is of our tour guide/ driver extraordinaire on top of the glass!
We were leaving town the next day, and on our way out we stopped by Niagara Falls.
Here are a few facts about the falls:
1. The first person to go over the falls was a man names Sam Patch in 1829, although the first person to go over in a barrel was a 63 year old teacher in 1901!
2. The volume of water approaching the falls during peak flow season is 202,000 cubic feet per second .
3. A major portion of Superman II was set at Niagara Falls, and Superman saves a small boy who went over the falls .
4. In 2003 Kirk Jones set the record as the only man to go over the falls without a floatation device. He later went of to join the circus.

STRIFE - CANADIAN TOUR DAY 1

Here are some pics from the short Canadian tour my band Strife just did with Reign Supreme, To The Lions, and Fired Up.

We left Thursday, and flew from LAX to Buffalo. We were kind of sketched out because Rick realized the day before we left that his passport had expired! We made it across the border pretty much without a hitch, spent the night in Toronto and then began our long 12 hour drive to Quebec City the next day. I felt sorry for whoever was sitting next to us on the plane!

Our old friend Jeff from Up Front (this pic was from 89) surprised us and showed up to the shows! Fired Up's bass player couldn't make it to the show, so he was filling in on bass. We first met Jeff in 1990. He was singing for Up Front at the time, and we were doing some shows with them and Lifetime. We thought it was so funny that he had a mustache back then, but I guess is even funnier to see how things come full circle (see the pics of Rick below). Jeff has a striking resemblance to Scott Baio and is one of the most positive and up beat people I have ever met.

We were psyched to see Reign Supreme. Our friend Tru put out their record on his label. They play heavy hardcore in the vein of Hatebreed, Madball, and Terror. Check them out if you haven't heard them before.

We thought this graffiti was pretty funny... A weird one tentacled armed giraffe drinking a beer having sex with a lion! Can't you read the writing on the wall?

Rick saying "What's up Plaaaayaaaaaaa????"

Rick thought he broke his nose, so he called it quits! He was bleeding everywhere! I wish I had a pic to post! We still had 2 songs left. Our friend from Fired Up sang one, and I sang "What Will Remain" while Clint from Reign Supreme filled in on guitar.

All Strife pics were jacked from this dude's Flickr page.

SNEAK PEAK!

We are at the printers working on a few new tees. Here is a little sneak peak of what's to come! These pics pretty much give it away, but like the Transformers there is more than meets the eye!

KURUPT - YESSIR! PRODUCED BY PETE ROCK

I have always been a fan of both Kurupt and Pete Rock, so I was excited to hear that they would be working on a few tracks together for Kurupt's next release. The first track to surface is a track called "Yessir!", and it features Kurupt over a super smooth Pete Rock beat... Definitely a nice change from what I have been hearing from Kurupt, and his best track by far in a long, long time... Thanks to DUBCNN we bring you Kurupt's "Yessir!"

BIG SHOT ROB

Spurs forward Robert Horry set an NBA record by appearing in his 238th playoff game during Game 5 of San Antonio's series against New Orleans tonight. Coming into the playoffs, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar held the previous record for playoff appearances with 237. Horry, in his 16th season, has been in the playoffs in all of them, winning two championships with the Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs and three with the Los Angeles Lakers. Horry is 13th all-time in playoff minutes, over 2,000 minutes behind Abdul-Jabbar. Known for his clutch shots, Big-Shot Rob is second to Reggie Miller in 3-pointers made in the postseason. The clutch shooting and playoff pedigree has kept Horry in the league for 16 seasons, despite scoring 7.0 points and averaging 4.8 rebounds per game in his career.

NO PAIN NO GAIN!

Kobe Bryant said the back injury that sent him to the locker room, dropped him to his knees and had him wincing in pain throughout the Lakers' loss to Utah in Game 3 won't keep him out of Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals Wednesday night. "I'll play," Bryant said. "I can't imagine it being worse than what it was Sunday night." Bryant shot 13-for-33 in Game 3, making only 2 of 13 shots in the fourth quarter and overtime. He wrenched his back on a jump shot in the first quarter and it clearly bothered him throughout the game. At one point he was so landlocked that Utah's Andrei Kirilenko merely had to stand on his tiptoes and reach from behind to block Bryant's shot. His treatment has included electrical stimulation, ice, heat, massage and stretching. GO LAKERS!

HOLD THE MAYO

Former USC basketball player O.J. Mayo, a projected lottery pick in this year's NBA draft, received thousands of dollars in cash, clothes and other benefits in apparent violation of NCAA rules while he was still in high school and during his one year in college, a former Mayo associate told ESPN's "Outside the Lines." Louis Johnson, who was a part of Mayo's inner circle until recently, said Mayo accepted around $30,000 in cash and gifts during the past four years from Rodney Guillory, a 43-year-old Los Angeles event promoter. In addition to cash, the gifts included a flat-screen television for Mayo's dorm room, cell phone service, a hotel room, clothes, meals and airline tickets for Mayo's friends and a relative, according to Johnson, others with knowledge of the gifts and store receipts. When Mayo was in high school in Ohio and West Virginia, Guillory was receiving monthly payments from the Northern California sports agency Bill Duffy Associates. Johnson said BDA provided Guillory with around $200,000 before Mayo arrived at USC, and that Guillory used most of the money to support his own lifestyle but also gave a portion of it to Mayo. In exchange for the payments and gifts, Mayo entered into a verbal agreement to allow BDA represent him when he turned pro, Johnson told "Outside the Lines." Mayo played one season at USC before declaring for the NBA draft in April. He named BDA's Calvin Andrews his agent. Johnson also said that Duffy's company helped Guillory purchase a $50,000 Infiniti SUV from a Northern California car dealership co-owned by former USC and San Francisco 49ers defensive back Ronnie Lott and his 49ers teammate, Keena Turner. After Duffy's company quit funding Guillory last year, Johnson says Guillory gave Mayo the flat-screen television, a hotel room and meals -- and paid for it with a credit card that belongs to a nonprofit organization called "The National Organization of Sickle Cell Prevention and Awareness Foundation." The organization has never been registered as a charitable trust with the California Attorney General's Office. Mary E. Brown, president and CEO of the Sickle Cell Disease Foundation of California, said she had never heard of the foundation for which Guillory charged purchases through. I'm anxious to see if this incident will have an effect on Mayo's NBA stock!

VIETNAM'S FINEST

Who said Vietnamese dudes with Down Syndrome can't skate! Our employee Bui is a legend in the streets of Ventura County. He's been spotted lately sleeping in front of BAPE L.A. or running errands for Mike a.k.a. "Hyperstrike"! As you can see his skating style comes from one of his childhood idols, Christian Hosoi. He enjoys skating in his crispy Rogue Status boxers, so his little dong can breathe. Now manager/buyer of Tradition, don't hesitate to come in and compliment him on his gear and good looks. You will make his day, trust me!

RIDIN DIRTY..
