MORE UNRELEASED KANYE

Thanks to Nahright, we bring you two more unreleased Kanye joints. Check out "The Stalker Song (Never Lettin' Go) and "Jigga Frestyle." I always like hearing unreleased songs, and seeing what songs never made it to the album. I'm not sure when these tracks were made, but they definitely don't sound too current.

FUGAZI - THE PEEL SESSIONS (DEC 11, 1988)

If you ever listened to punk or hardcore, I'm sure you've heard of Fugazi. Fugazi was a post-hardcore band that formed in Washington, D.C. in 1987. The band's continual members were guitarists Ian MacKaye and Guy Picciotto (who both shared vocal duties), bassist Joe Lally and drummer Brendan Canty. Ian came from the legendary Minor Threat as well as the less known Embrace (my personal favorite DC band), while Guy came from Rites of Spring who probably spearheaded the "Emo" genre.
Check out the long lost "Peel Sessions" from 1988 recorded live with super producer John Peel (who died in 2004). You can listen to the four tracks from the session here.

UNDRCRWN X STATE PROPERTY

Our boys at UNDRCRWN are doing big things! Yesterday we showed you the collab they did with Adidas for the NBA draft picks, and today they hit us with a dope collab with Philly natives Freeway and Beanie Sigel. These tees come in anticipation of a new State Property album, and feature classic UNDRCRWN caricatures of the two artists repping Philly to the fullest. Im not sure when these will be available, But check back for more info.

MAYO TO GRIZZLIES, LOVE TO TIMBERWOLVES

Wow! All season long we have been hearing about O.J Mayo and Kevin Love and who was a better pro prospect and its only fitting that these two stars are being traded for one another. Two league sources told ESPN.com that the Minnesota Timberwolves have reached an agreement with the Memphis Grizzlies that will send Mayo, Marko Jaric, Antoine Walker and Greg Buckner to the Grizzlies in return for Kevin Love, Mike Miller, Brian Cardinal and Jason Collins. GM of the Timberwolves Kevin McHale is said to be in love with Kevin Love's game which is very similar to his own in Boston!

UNDRCRWN X ADIDAS: TOP 5 NBA DRAFT PICKS!

The NBA draft airs tonight, and you know the homeys at UNDRCWN aren't going to let a basketball event like that go by without putting their two cents in. UNDRCRWN teamed up with Adidas and designed caricatures of the league's 5 biggest hopefuls taking cues from the player's cities and personalities. A limited run was printed on apparel exclusively for the players, but you know if it does ever come available Tradition will be the place to get it!

THE GAME - DOPE BOYS

We slept on this one for a minute... Here is the newest street single from The Game’s upcoming album L.A.X. This track is called "Dope Boys" and features some live drums courtesy of Travis Barker. The Song Was Produced By L.A.’s 1500 or Nothin’. Overall it's a pretty good song... The live drums definitely give it a different feel. L.A.X. Drops On August 26th. My only question is who name checks Air Force Twos???

UNRELEASED KANYE WEST - GOTTA POSE

You know we like to keep you updated with all the newest hits and unreleased songs. We just found an unreleased cut from Kanye called "Gotta Pose." I'm not sure what this was intended for or when it was even recorded, but it's a dope track that sounds very different than most of his newer stuff.

GATORADE STAINED SHIRT AUCTIONED FOR $55,000

The Gatorade stained shirt worn by Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers as the team won its first NBA championship in 22 years has been auctioned for $55,000. An anonymous bidder bought the shirt, autographed by Rivers and Celtics star Paul Pierce, and the accompanying Gatorade bucket at a charity auction on sports radio WEEI-AM's Web site. The proceeds will benefit the Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation. The foundation said Tuesday the high bid of $35,000 came from an anonymous bidder. Gatorade and a second anonymous donor each pledged $10,000 to bring the total to $55,000. Celtics managing partner and foundation president Steve Pagliuca offered a personal donation of $35,000 to the charity if the winning bidder would share the shirt at certain times for display. No word yet on whether the bidder will accept the offer.

All his special qualities might be because he was born on September 11 2001, right as the second plane hit the south tower on that faithful day of 911! USA BASKETBALL OLYMPIC ROSTER ANNOUNCED

MVP Kobe Bryant will be heading to his first Olympics, and he'll have LeBron James and Dwyane Wade with him. They will lead a U.S. Olympic basketball team that was announced today. They hope to capture the gold medal in Beijing in August after a third-place showing in Athens four years ago, they'll have plenty of help. Carmelo Anthony and Jason Kidd were among the 12 players placed on the squad. They were joined by Tayshaun Prince, Carlos Boozer, Chris Bosh, Dwight Howard, Chris Paul, Michael Redd and Deron Williams. The Americans open Olympic play against China on Aug. 10.

BURNING FIGHT

For the past four years Brian Peterson has been assembling a book about the 1990s hardcore music scene called Burning Fight: The Nineties Hardcore Revolution in Ethics, Politics, Spirit, and Sound. While Steven Blush's American Hardcore was an excellent examination of the pioneers of the hardcore punk movement, after reading his book one gets the impression that hardcore died in 1986. Although that particular era of hardcore may have ended in 1986, an influx of new bands took the genre to new places, the story of which shall be told in the book, Burning Fight.
The book will feature several sections with input from over 100 musicians, zine-makers, D.I.Y. practitioners, activists, and hooligans from this era. The chapters will focus on nineties hardcore era straightedge, animal rights/vegetarianism/veganism, politics/ethics/activism, spirituality, and revolutions in sound--the "sound" section will contain "oral history" articles on bands including Earth Crisis, 108, Unbroken, Quicksand, Strife, Los Crudos, Inside Out, Burn, Shelter, Endpoint, Lifetime, Groundwork, Integrity, Swing Kids, Chokehold, Vegan Reich, Avail, Threadbare, Cave In, Snapcase, Spitboy, Undertow, Deadguy, Racetraitor, Texas is the Reason, Split Lip, Ressurection, Damnation A.D., Rorschach, Coalesce and many others.

Yes we got our asses handed to us tonight but you have to admit that nobody expected the Lakers to even have the dream season they have had! I'm happy for KG, Paul, and Ray but I'm upset it had to be against my Lakers. When Paul dumped Gatorade on Coach Doc Rivers, it was the ultimate disrespect to the Lakers, nobody has ever done that in a basketball game, only in football do you see that! For those of you not familiar with Pharoahe,, he first hit the scene as one half of Organized Konfusion with Prince Poetry. He released the hit song "Simon Says" on his 1999 solo debut "Internal Affairs" and then seemingly disappeared from the public's eye. After ghost writing for such heavyweights as Diddy and Mobb Deep's Havoc, Pharoahe dropped his newest album "Desire" in 2007. "Desire" received critical acclaim, and is one of my favorite albums released that year. Check it out if you can.

THE SHAPE OF PUNK TO COME?

Former members of Sweden's cutting edge hardcore band Refused have reformed as a new band called AC4. AC4 features singer Dennis Lyxzén and bassist David Sandström. AC4 has more of a stripped down, thrashy hardcore sound than Refused. No music has been released, but a live clip has surfaced on the net.

The National Basketball Association said on Wednesday it will auction online, starting with opening tip-offs, jerseys worn by players during two games of the finals this week between Bryant's Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics. Game-worn jerseys have become increasingly popular with collectors looking for unique memorabilia, and the Internet will only drive that interest higher. Game-worn jerseys can sell for thousands of dollars, including $25,500 for the jersey of Cleveland all-star LeBron James from last year's finals with San Antonio. A game-worn Bryant jersey, with proper tagging proving authenticity, would probably sell for alot of money. With NBA backing and the added allure of the playoffs, that value easily could hit five figures. The auctions for the Lakers' and Celtics' jerseys from the first and third games allow fans to bid on the home and away jerseys for both teams, the NBA said. The auction from the first game will run June 5-24, while the Game 3 auction will run June 10-26.

T.O. INKS NEW DEAL

Terrell Owens quietly received a new contract with the Dallas Cowboys on monday. T.O was slated to earn $7 million this season in the last year of his contract, but he now receives a four year, $34 million deal. Owens is slated to earn $27 million over the next three seasons, making him along with Randy Moss, Javon Walker and Larry Fitzgerald, one of the highest paid wide receivers in the league. Owens will receive $12.9 million to sign and $100,000 of his $830,000 2008 base salary guaranteed, for a total of $13 million guaranteed. He is now under contract through 2011.

THE LAST LAUGH

I got a chance to go to the opening for Mr. Cartoon and Estevan Oriol's new store called The Last Laugh on Saturday. Located in the heart of Skid Row (6th and Los Angeles) The Last Laugh is a retail experience like no other. Half the store is everything Mr. Cartoon, including all of his apparel, a showcase of his Lost Angel figures, customized childrens scooters, as well as a fully functional Tattoo studio in the back! The second half Is curated by Estevan, and features a gallery of his photography as well his Upper Playground line and Adidas release. I love the fact that these stores look so unique and original. Of course everyone came out to support including : B-Real, DJ Muggs, and the whole Soul Assassins crew!







Right next door is a new store and gallery from SF's Upper Playground. Their store looked great as well, but it was the artwork that I was interested in. The first show consisted of amazing pieces from Doze Green, Slick, Usugrow, and more. definitely worth the trip downtown!
