PEN AT WORK

The opening for our "Pen At Work" art show was last Saturday, and every artist did a great job with all of their pieces. Below are some pics of some of the work from the show. A few pieces are still available for purchase, so call the shop for pricing and availability (805)497-4717. Check back soon for pics of the opening party as well!

Axis killed it with three new pieces as well as some pen graphics for Stussy and WESC from his archives. His attention to detail is amazing and he is a true artist in every sense of the word. We even got a little shout out in his "Frankie Goes to Hollywood" piece in the form of a Tradition button on his leather jacket!

UNDRCRWN's own Daniel Wilson did some of my favorite pieces in the show as well. His "Crash" piece and his "Ski Mask Way" piece are so dope!

Below is a piece from my old friend Eyeone and his good friend Jason Youth. If you got a chance to see Eyeone's "Lost x Tradition" show last month at the shop, you will notice a big different in styles in this piece. Peep the X'ed up hand too!

Derek Albeck never fails to disappoint! This piece gives us a small glimpse into his new body of work, and was one of the first pieces to sell opening night. Expect big things from Derek in the future.

Chris Wolford is one of the artists from the upcoming brand Dethkills. This work is some of the best that I have seen from him. I especially liked the larger "Desert House" piece. The two smaller pieces are already sold as well.

This is the first time we have showed work from Tommy Ruets at the shop. The alphabet that he did is really dope.

Justin Davis contributed some really dark and detailed drawings for the show. They are somewhat reminiscent of Raymond Pettibon.

Jawn Agione (who helped curate the show with me) continued with his "Peas and Carrots" characters. These are always a crowd favorite, and we sold half of them the night of the show!

Quincy Sutton did a great job with his series of Bugs. He does a lot of graphic design work, so his work with pen is a nice change.

Alex Zakari contributed four bright and playful pieces for the show. They are a steal at only $75 each!

Once again, Marco Zamora did some great work. I bought the third small piece before the show even opened to add to my collection (I own 3 of his pieces already), and of course that's the one piece that everyone else wanted too (sorry guys!).

Hovland (Dim Witty) contributed 4 pieces to the show as well. His pieces have a retro look to them that reminded me of Rat Fink and R. Crumb. He also does these hand drawn t-shirts that are really amazing!

Woo did a great job with his "Plain Bait" series of pen on wood. I just wonder who the underage girl is that he got to pose for him...

Two more pieces from Jason Youth... I really like the "Exquisite Bitch" piece.

Last minute addition Jorger decided to stick out like a sore thumb with his piece framed in bright green!
