PARRA - IS THAT A GUN MY FRIEND?

Most of you are familiar with Parra's vibrant hand drawn graphics, wether you realize it or not. He has done commercial work with everyone from Nike, Stussy, Stones Throw Records, Zoo York, The Hundreds, and many more.
Parra's newest show, Is That A Gun My Friend?, opens tonight at HVW8 Gallery in Los Angeles.

The prolific Dutch illustrator/designer―known for being the "decorator" of everything from the Amsterdam underground to the pages of our very own publication―is coming back to L.A. to exhibit some new works at the HVW8 Art + Design Gallery.

While it's been a while since we've seen the self-taught prankster-cum-ubiquitous pop artist share his wares in a gallery setting, we've certainly been spotting his eye-catching style all over the place. He's been keeping busy working with Incase on a number of products, designing flyers for the Parisian electro-rock act LeLe, pumping out graphic tees and sweaters, inking record sleeve covers, and probably a whole lot more that we're not even privy to yet. Be sure to check the 32-year-old visionaire out Saturday evening at HVW8 with Anthem, the event's proud sponsors.
