DJ AM FILES 20 MILLION DOLLAR LAWSUIT
DJ AM filed a lawsuit against Learjet and other defendants on Friday (March 13), in connection with last year's plane crash that left him and Travis Barker hospitalized with second and third degree burns all over their bodies.
According to the Associated Press, the celebrity DJ is seeking $20 million in damages -- $10 million for medical expenses, lost earnings, profits and economic damages and another $10 million related to non-economic losses, such as mental and physical pain, documents read.
If the case goes to trial, a jury will decide any damage award.
DJ AM and Travis Barker were the only survivors of the crash in September 2008, which took the lives of four others including Barker's close friend and assistant "Lil" Chris Baker, his bodyguard Charles "Che" Still, and a pilot and co-pilot.
Both AM and Barker were hospitalized for several weeks following the crash.
Learjet has yet to respond to the lawsuit at press time.
