INTERVIEW: CALMA
Iggor from Sepultura/Mixhell put me on to Calma a while back. Calma is part of a new crop of Brazilian contemporary artists that are garnering some attention in the States at the moment. Calma has roots in graffiti, and his style combines a fusion of Brazilian folk art and religious imagery while still staying true to the roots of the Sao Paulo Graffiti style.
Calma recently had a show at the Jonathan Levine Gallery in New York. You can read the interview with Calma here.
